A Simple Family Who Loves Big

.......................As a child I dreamed of having the most fantastic life.
My life would be so dramatic that it would inspire others to write songs and books about it. I wanted to be able to tell stories about my everyday; capturing people’s attention and their hearts, with the wonderful tale that is my life.

I never dreamed a life so dramatic and suspenseful and tragic that when speaking with others, I would get a sense that they questioned the truthfulness of my story. A smirk on someone’s mouth suggesting I made these things up, as though I am inflating the truth just to gain attention. It is sad that my family’s fantastical life has alienated us in conversations.

I am thankful for those family and friends who are so close that they can’t help but witness my family’s colorful, emotional life. Without them I’m not quite sure any of us could, stay the course, keep the faith, trudge on or keep a sense of humor.

To my family I offer my most sincere apologies for my silly childhood dreams and for not heeding the advice of “be careful what you wish for… you just may get it.” And who knows one day maybe our life will be written into a beautiful, poetic, play. About a simple family who loves big and encounters unavoidable, adventure in everyday. And in the front of the playbill everyone will read. written after a true story.

My favorite blog post so far. It is incredibly honest. We started this blog so people would know the happenings of the Jensen family, if only our common reader knew how much of our "happenings" never hit the blog. How much we filter out.

Atarah, you have to leave an e-mail address or some way to contact you. It was great to hear from you too! And yes, we miss you, and the whole family, very much.
