I had quite an interesting New Year's Eve. My girlfriends and I planned to have a "party train," that would lead us to getting our dance on. The evening started well, if not a bit late. I met up with Krissy and Katie at St.Marks Cathedral in Seattle. We have friends that live in the Pastor's house (they take care of the property). So we started the evening drinking Champagne and eating baked brie (extra yummy)on Capitol Hill. Around 10:30, we left there to meet up with more friends. It took a bus and a cab the get to Queen Anne.Arriving at our destination, Krissy calls for entry and the three of us wait on the steps of the Apartment Building. There we are minding our own business, when we hear a couple arguing around the corner of the building. We saw a girl (maybe 16) rush away from a ghetto wigger guy. The three of us exchanged glances but said nothing. A few seconds later, he follows her. Anyhow, as he is walking below us(we are standing at the top of the stairs) he looks up at me and says, "What the **** are you looking at?" I put both my hands up and say, "Nothing, man. I'm just chill'n." He stops, turns towards me and walks a bit closer (still below us) and says, "No really! What the **** are you looking at?" Before I can even answer, he lunges at me standing between Krissy and Katie knocking me against the glass doors and sending me sprawling. In seconds, he is on top of me, just pummeling me. Krissy immediately attempts to get him off. Then he turns on her. While his back is to me, I pick up my umbrella and jump down to the sidewalk. I start just whacking the hell out of his head with my umbrella to get him away from Krissy. He turns to me again and starts punching me in the head. He punches my head a good 9-12 times before the police show up and tackle him (and me in the process). This all happened in a matter of 2 or 3 minutes. It was so random we couldn't even believe it! By the time the police finished with everything, it was 15 minutes till midnight. We finally joined the party upstairs where we stood on the roof to watch the fireworks. It was beautiful; we were two blocks from the Space Needle with a great view. It turned out to be a good night after all, celebrating with lots of old friends. You must admit.... I do know how to make an entrance.
