Mammograms have improved over the years. The smash pressure is less. The time required by the technician to take the x-ray has improved. The comfort or human factor is handled with more finesse. Those of you who started getting mammograms at the infancy of this technology will cheer over the improvements made for the comfort of our daughters.
One of the newer diagnostic tools for breast cancer is the MRI. Just like most new ideas this leaves something to be desired or improved as some would try to say. We all know MRIs are not new but the use of this tool for breast cancer is. This is not an undertaking for women who might have the slightest form of panic attacks, claustrophobia, nervous disorders, or obesity. I am an MRI veteran and this ain't what it's cracked up to be.
I need to get my rest so will have to share more later. Watch for installment II.
