Eric and I have tossed around the idea of getting a second dog for quite some time...with the depression pepper was experiencing, we decided to shake things up and get a puppy to pull her out of that rut. There was no better time to find the perfect puppy to cheer us all up.
Last week Atarah and I trekked to Quincy, Washington (over 170 miles away) to look at some seven week old Miniature Schnauzers. The drive was long and slow with a lot of snow accumulating on the pass and avalanche hazzards. We had to take a quick look at the puppies, make a decision and return before the pass closed. After spending a short time evaluating those cuties, we landed with our handsome little boy. Manny is a very intelligent, active, playful Schnauzer that loves to drive Pepper nuts! He doesn't quite sleep through the night yet and wakes me up at 3am every morning. Manny has quickly learned that Pepper will play with him, but she is not a morning dog!!! When he is caught misbehaving Eric has threatened to feed him to Pepper. All in all he's a good dog and Pepper is adjusting to having a very vocal puppy around. -Audrey
