FIRST SNOW

Eric, (Audrey's husband) is sledding the first run on the fresh snow. Once the snow compacted the downhill sledding was incredibly fast. Eric, Scott (Atarah's husband), Colby, and Sage spent a fun afternoon on a Mount St. Helen's viewpoint road near Morton, WA. After returning home they told many stories about their afternoon, including their brilliant idea of sledding down with Sage on his dad's shoulders. Incredibly this didn't sound outrageous to anyone except seven year old Sage. He informed the adults that it was doomed for failure and participated only because his
"father knows best". Hearing the story from Scott's point of view though was a bit different than Sage's version. Scott tells that the initial drop was fine and they gained speed quickly. Their momentum held and the sled caught a bit of air. "One second he was on my shoulders and the next he was gone." So much for that idea. Sage has no interest in trying again.
